My finder has/had that same issue. Roll back to the firmware from around June last year, BEFORE they implemented that message. Should work fine again.

They only focus on the newer Finder Meter, I fear. The older V71 won't be updated anymore, especially considering this issue.

My finder still does that as well with the newer firmwares. Roll back to a firmware version prior to them implementing said popup message, should work fine then. I think 30/07/18 should be the right one.

My finder does the same with newer firmwares. So - like cpr43 said - flash it with an older firmware, and all is well.

I had the same trouble with my Finder on the latest Firmware. Continous over-load error. I was hardly able to move through the menu. I rolled back to a firmware from april I think, works again like a treat.

I bought my V8 Finder on http://www.freesat.cc / winsat.net in March 2017. Serialnumber printed on it is V8FD1700387.

However when I compare it to the pictures above my Finder has a square speaker grill and only 3000mAH battery. Is it genuine or not?
