Re: Hello, they have confirmed to me that there has been an attack from the manufacturer of decoders freesat or gtmedia

Please can you explain the nature of this attack? Has this added to the software inside the Freesat units to block Ccam from certain providers? Has this added to the software inside the Freesat units to enable external blocking of Ccam by Internet providers? Has this added some kind of ID to the Fre...

Re: Golden V8

Sorry I missed this post yesterday. Try doing a factory reset and then reload the software. Save your channel list to USB etc first if you can. Freesat re branded some time back to GT Media. Check the card slot for dust, maybe insert and remove a card a few times, not a chipped card. If you can not ...

Re: Dutch channels problems on firmware 17-12-2018 on v8 Nova

Do you have the LNB settings correct. For a Universal LNB you need to use 9750 / 10600 LNB setting. These LNB's have two parts, one for the low band and one for the high band, where those TP' are. These are switched between by having the 22kHz tone "ON" for the high band. This is automatic...

Re: V8 Finder, suggestions and questions

The V8 Finder is based on the Freesat V7HD unit. You can load any V7 channel list, including favorites. You can use the editor to add the favorite groups you need. The order of satellites in the sat list is the order you created them in that list, or the order they were created by who's list that is...

Re: Manual input powervu keys?

I have a V8 Super. A friend told recently told me they autoroll, but I have not been able to get any Power vu keys to come in. Is there anything besides hooking up a wifi antenna and connecting the wifi? I recently updated my V8 Super using the upgrade from this forum. Before the update it showed a...

Feel free to PM me your file and i can look at it for you. Remember some channels changed hash mode so will not open. The new software out toda...

Re: FREESAT V7 do not work!?!?

Especially Freesat v7 doesn’t really work on new GTmedia software from diseqc 1.1 (DS81), who try and write off. Are you having problems with DiSEqC 1.1 switching? Is the 1.1 switch reverting to port 1? I also use 1.1 and 1.0 switching. I found some years back that the power surge when the 1.1 port...

Re: Manual input powervu keys?

Looks OK.
180-133=47
47+180=227 so yes 2270

The way they have it set is all longs in the code list are east, so west lons are converted to east long of 180 to 359.9

Re: can not update FW from USB /channels to USB

I have had some USB sticks that flash the light twice and then stop. I have to plug and unplug many thimes until that stick flashes the light many times and then stays on. Check if your USB stick is being looked at by the Nova orange, is the light on the stick blinking? Also note that the Freesat un...

Re: Firmware 11-12-2018 for V8 Super and V8 Golden has dissapeared

I have the receiver after the firmware is dead - steady Load. I will try to start through RS-232 :-( Have you tried the flash.bin method? flash.bin recovery is done like this. Place a copy of the unpacked software (the .bin file) on a USB stick and rename it "flash.bin" With the USB in th...

Re: v7 hd bricked

Do a flash.bin recovery.
copy the unpacked software on to a USB, rename it "flash.bin" and then power on the unit while repeat pressing the Menu button.

Use the same software as you had before it crashed.

Yes. Something has changed.
Most channels still scan as powerVu with a Caid of 0e00.
Some like Movie Central have a different encryption and a Caid of 5604.
Maybe they have changed hash mode, like Sony do.

My current software 19 Nov 2018

All the powervu TP's on Isat19@166e auto roll, so your unit should find the key.
If it does not you may need more signal quality.

Re: Unpacking new V8 Nova

If you "Export" your file from the conditional access / 6666 / key edit menu you will see the codes in the unit and their format. The ones after the ---- ---- line are the ones the unit has found. The newer freesat units now don't use the TP info with each code line. EMM codes are use by t...

I have an 8 foot mesh fixed satellite dish and I have notice some weird stuff. Re: Freesat V7S HD connecting and idel

ISP is Internet Service Provider.

They block some content and some devices, like Set Top Boxes, from using the net on behalf of the Satellite Tv provider. That is they block the set top box from using the net to stop it using Ccam to watch pay TV.
