Re: V7S2X Built in PVU?
According to the mods here the GTmedia Receivers that get regular firmware updates all have a keys list included in the updates and the V7S2X should follow that also and you should do a full firmware installation (not just software). If you look at the instructions for firmware updates they all stil...

Re: High noise level in analogic audio signal
Feralkiwi is correct, there are about 3 or 4 different length AV pins out there you will find online and at stores and only one will work correctly on both audio and video.

Re: USB WIFI extender
I would get a set of ethernet through power outlet extenders. A common myth is that they won't go through circuit breakers but that is not true and you can install multiple units around the home (living room, kitchen, bedrooms, etc) Some of the receivers do both Wifi and have an ethernet outlet for ...

Re: V7 S2X Signal Problem
Perhaps that flats management doesn't realize that anyone is using the dish, I would ask about the dish and mention that you saw that its pointing straight up into the air and see what they give for a response, they may believe that nobody uses it and perhaps they intend to get rid of it so I would ...

Re: V7 S2X Signal Problem
Do what Tom W. said to verify your new receiver and LNB settings are the same as on your old receiver. If you find the receivers settings are not the issue I would go check the dish. Since its been some time since the old receiver failed then It is possible that over that period the dish has been bu...

Re: RECOVERY v7 tt
There are two updates for your V7 TT located here - https://www.freesat.cn/forum/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=19757 I would download both and save them to a file in your pc if you don't already have them. I would use the latest firmware update file v266 and use an unzipper like 7zip to unzip it and put it o...

Re: SES 103 in the Caribbean
Yes they are weaker but a 12ft dish should get them easily if tuned. I would go to the (dishpointer dot com) website and put in your location and SES-103 and scroll down and it will show you the exact dish elevation, azimuth, LNB skew, etc for your dish from your location so you can check and adjust...

Re: V8 UHD Video Resolution
As I said before, while it could be an isolated V8UHD having a problem but for some having issues it can also be your TV or HDMI cable. Older 4k TV's that are a few years old started out with HDMI 1.0 and they max out at about 4k 30hz and some cheap HDMI cables are only rated at 4k @ 30hz. The new 4...

Two firmware updates (255 and 257) can be found here for V8X - viewtopic.php?f=40&t=18373
Might try saving your Satellites, etc. and then doing a factory reset and then try the 255 and see if it works.
Good Luck

Re: Network Sharing of Recordings SOLVED!!!!!
I don't see where you mention which USB switch you are using but I've been using a Sabrent model HB-UMLS on my V8 Orange for a couple years and its a great switch for recording through and I even load firmware updates through it, has 4 ports controlled by push buttons that light up when activated.

Re: 34.5W
34.5° W - Intelsat 903 - That TP you mention is actually 4132 R 30000 so you must either have a circular LNB or you can use a Linear LNBF and install the Dialectic plate and that will change it to get the circular signals L and R. (There is no 4132 H 30000 TP on that satellite). V or H uses Linear s...

Re: V7 Plus H265
It can be confusing depending on where you live, if you bought yours from someone in Europe then he probably does get H265 but it is likely HDTV.
In Europe they have H265 that is HDTV
In North America (Canada, US, Mexico) H264 is HDTV and H265 is UHDTV.
Good Luck !

Re: 127w question
127w - 4160 V 30000 is encrypted with Digicypher2 so you may want to remove that from that Satellites TP list and then try to rescan the other TP's - Not sure why that would make your Receiver lock up but removing it from the list should let it finish the scan. FYI - Those two channels - (AXS Tv and...

Re: [V8UHD] DLNA not work?
DLNA is what allows computers to talk back and forth to each other (transmit data) over the internet or ethernet or Wifi (computer to computer). I wasn't aware that the V8UHD was supposed to have that feature that it could talk to computers or other FTA Receivers. I believe they have talked about an...

Re: W7 hd power
They are so cheap, I would just buy something new. --- https://www.freesat.cc/ Probably most likely that something on the main board died, you could take it to a TV/Radio repair store and see what they can find. Not very likely the repair would be as cheap as just getting a new Receiver for ($40 - $...

Re: Receiver V7tt rebooting continuously
Is it sitting on carpeting or something were the bottom ventilation holes could be blocked or is it sitting over other electronics like a Stereo Receiver or over the TV that create heat? Constant rebooting can be caused by overheating.

Re: Receiver V7tt rebooting continuously
Have you tried disconnecting everything except electrical? Disconnect (Coax, HDMI, USB, etc) that you have plugged in and see if it stops rebooting, if that happens then try plugging in one item at a time to find the problem, sounds like something is shorting out.

Re: 125W 4140V
A bit off topic but I read that Galaxy30 has replaced Galaxy14 @ 125w as of today 4 Feb and the new satellites TP signal strengths are several dB stronger with the new satellite over the old one so that may help some of you. Galaxy 14 was an old Satellite (launched in 2005) that had exceeded its pro...

Re: V8 UHD Video Resolution
It could be the HDMI cable or it could be your TV. Some HDMI cables that claim they are 4k are poorly/cheaply made don't do UHDTV reliably at a good refresh rate like 60HZ or 120HZ. Also how old is your TV? If it is an early 4k model then its possible it only does HDMI 1.2 and only does 4k in 50hz r...
