It seems as though the lockup issues have been fixed with version 226. I have been using this version for 3 weeks now with wifi and usb connected and no lockups. I have not tried version 227 as I am satisfied with the way my V8UHD is working now.

I have not checked it on V219 as the signal on that tp at my location is too weak at present. I will update you in a week or so when the signal improves.

V8UHD V219:
You seem to have it partially correct, now you need to block the sat channels from adjusting the time.
After updating to the V219 firmware no channels were on the receiver the time was correct after I set my time zone.
The only thing connected was the internet.
