Hello,
On Saturday with heavy rain, decoder quality signal was set to 0. Now quality is about 80%. I don't know if this has anything to do with the decoder or with my instalation. I live in an area where it rains a lot. My satellite is Astra 19.2E.
Greetings.

Re: Signal quality 0 when it rains
Do you have scalar ring LNB?
Re: Signal quality 0 when it rains
No, I haven't.
Re: Signal quality 0 when it rains
With solid panel off set dishes for Ku band satellites, the LNB faces up and the surface of the LNB is exposed to the rain.
Rain drops on the LNB surface do lower the signal. I have improved this by cleaning and spraying the LNB face with teflon spray, so the rain or morning dew does not stay on the LNB.
Also the dish surface is distorted by rain as well.
With DVB-S2 signals, a good signal is needed to maintain a "lock" on to the signal.
When the signal level lowers the STB loses lock and reports zero quality.
Check that your dish and lnb are at their best alignment to improve your signal during rain.
