It depends with the firmware version of each decoder, particularly hashmode and even the processor.
If you have both of them check which software version each have and try hooking one at a time on particular satellite and make a countdown.

Same firmware 04/01/2019 the one fast decoding channel is v7s split seond only decoding channel and v8 nova is few mins. To decode

I also have both V7S and V8 NOVA. I test the receivers and I think V8 NOVA is faster.
