Currently it doesn't seem to work.
I tried a linux&android widely supported KY-RD9700 directly and with usb hub will light up red led but "online movie" option not selectable. Wifi pen your only option for now. There is no telnet AFAIK on V7 HD so we can't see what's going on in the OS.
Your first picture looks like a hackish adapter to use LAN/CAT cable as USB cable, so it has nothing to do with actual LAN network.

Sure would be a nice option.
Being able to use a "USB-to-ethernet" adapter in place of wireless.
They are cheap & would provide very stable connection.
Hopefully coders might consider adding this compatibility.
