Check that all the lines in your softcam.key file look like this for their encryption type.
Use notepad on your computer. Notepad does not add extra format codes to the file like word processors do.
First two lines of powervu, then constant CW, then BISS and last Tandberg.

P 0000 01 XXXXXXXXXXX;1800:04174:03679:H

Only files that have the name "softcam.key" will load.

Hi

You need to remove the spaces in this part of the line and you have a letter "o" not a Zero as well "6555 ; 233o:4120:"
Also the frequency 4120 needs a leading zero.
Your line should look like this;
P 0000 00 12345678976555 ; 233o:4120:30000:V; NFL Package Your line
P 0000 00 12345678976555;2330:04120:30000:V; NFL Package Correct line.

Correct the second line the same.

Thank you I see what you mean,do you know pv keys for 127w.I think that I have old keys,will try your way to see if I can open some channels from this satellite.

Hi, I'm really a noob to satellite tech so please bear with me. I just got a Freesat V7HD box and been wanting to use the box for a couple of days now. Tried going thru most of the youtube tutorials (most of them were Indian I think) so I really couldn't understand them. So went to this forum and started reading. First I was finally able to upgrade the firmware to the latest one that came from this page of the forum - viewtopic.php?t=7

The problem I am having now is loading the softcam.key file, whenever I tried to load the softcam keyfile it just gives me "Failed to load softcam.key". I made a new file and named it "softcam.key" the contents of the file I made I got from this page:

Where do you get the additonal code of "2330:04120:30000:V" from the examples above, since the only posted keys that I could find on the site were shorter?

Also when you create a softcam key file can you include the powervu, tandenberg and biss keys all in one file or do you have to upload them in separate files?

Was able to load a softcam.key file that I got from this site. When I checked on the PowerVU keys on the box it had codes in them already. Though when I do a Blind channel search it finds 338 channels but all of them are still locked. What is the procedure for unlocking the channels? Is it just uploading the keys or can you do a manual edit per channel using the edit function on a specific channel? I tried that one but it only lets me rename a certain channel no other option to edit anything else.

First, make a EXPORT of the Softcam from your box to your USB. Then, open the file and add or delete as you wish. Finally, SAVE AS the modified file over the existing one in the USB.
