Scanning Lock Up's

Post by gdhunt »

When scanning AMC 18 and one other satellite, the FREESAT V7 will lock up and nothing can be done until I unplug it and it boots up.

Has this happened to yours?

Thanks,

Gary

Are you suggesting that scanning 500 plus channels on a single polarity's too much for the FREESAT V7 to handle? That's why it locks up or sends a message that it's full?

Thanks,

Gary

Scan lockups isn't a new problem. Look HERE and you'll see it's been around for a while now.

You can try to scan each polarity separately to see if that works. I've done that on occasion with mixed success.

It's good to hear that I'm not alone with lock ups. I always scan each polarity separately.

Thank you for sharing.
