Looking for firmware...

Post by cazandobits »

There is a unit of five that does not work, interestingly this decoder has these data:

Model dont work:
Model: Freesat V7
S / W Version: 7/8/17
HW Version: 2.1.0 25/7/17

The other 4 if they work with this data:
Model: Freesat V7 (P)
S / W Version: 18/8/17
HW Version: 2.1.0 25/7/17

Do you have the firmware on 18/08/17? (With the model name "Freesat v7 (P)")

Thanks comunity!

Make a dump of the firmware from the working 18/8/17 units

Load a USB drive
Menu
Tools
USB Backup
Backup Mode: All Code
Press Start

You will have a copy in your USB. Freesat_v7HDflash.bin

Update by USB the bad one. It will update to 18/8/17.

Please, also post a copy of this file here. Thanks

It has solved all my problems the new firmware, I guess they have changed some of the hardware in the new units (in the old ones if it works correctly on 7/8/17).

Here you have the firmware 18/8/17: https://mega.nz/#!tQJmHLBY!X-FNlZBO2HIF ... g7YCbJFsP4

Thanks for making this available.
My question is what changes are on this 18/8/2017 update and why is it not on the download section?

Well I do not know what changes it brings (a priori I do not see any major changes, not even minimal). If I have to tell you that without this firmware, the very new units do not work (I speak of units with SN V7BOX1709XXXXXX)
