Re: Softcam Keys
I am not having success learning this. Tried instructions above regarding copying to notepad and renaming softcam.key but unit doesn't recognize file in update menu or CA menu.
I entered a couple in CA menu by hand for KTLA but no success. I then dumped them to USB to see the format box outputted for PV. The file the I got was named export_softcam. This file will not import; added .key to file name, no good, also renamed the file as softcam.key but still wont recognize to import.
Any help appreciated. Trying on 99W and 101W. Dave

Re: Softcam Keys
Open Notepad and type all the keys that you want to import in you receiver
Then, When you finish - Save As - and select the type as All files, in the name type softcam.key

Re: Softcam Keys
HI,
All keys are not confirmed.
Also, it is not always updated.
This is not a function of freesat.
If necessary, please do by yourself.

Re: Softcam Keys
Thanks for all your help. Doing "save as" and "all files" made all the difference!
