Hello, have a read in here:

https://www.freesat.cc/forum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=2007

Also, there isnt 3159 frequency on 121W. Something is wrong. Please double check you have set your LNB frequency correctly

on 121 and no where

Range is 3700 to 4200 Mhz so the LNB setting are wrong
for Sure is Dish network either on 121W 119W see is asking for H and V same frequency is because is A circular polarization and 121 is Linear for Commercial Customers so it has to be 119, if that is the case it wont work with GTC receivers due the modulator is proprietary for the Satellite company using Turbo 8PSK under Nagravision encryption so you need IKS keys and another type of receiver like Jynybox or Dreamlink T5 with the appropriate modulator example JB200 for the first one otherwise it wont work

Okay I'll check for another satellite but I do get 3 or 4 test channels saying your receiver is pointed at 121. New to all this.

Better yet...

post names con channels that you got. With that info might be possible to figure out where are you aiming at.

Ok, now we are getting somewhere, to confirm please post what type of LNB are you using? brand and model.

Pretty sure that you are getting Ku signal (could be a C/Ku lnb).

Furthermore, are you aware that the channels in that Frequency are from Dishnetwork?

Is the signal from dishnetwork the one that you are trying to see?

That's your problem, you should check first what type of signal comes from a satellite (can be 1, 2, 3, 4 types)
C, ku, ka, linear/circular

and according to what signal you want to obtain then you HAVE TO use the corresponding LNB type.

there are signals that you need to pay to get them and there are others that you might bypass that, and there are others that are FTA.

check lyngsat.com to see what channels are in each satellite and also to see what type of signal that sat carries.
then in satbeams.com you will find the footprint of the satellite to verify that you have the antenna needed to get it
and last but not least check dishpointer.com so you can get the idea how to set your antenna

if you know what signal want to get, post it so we can help you, otherwise we won't be able to guess what you might be able to receive and watch with a Freesat receiver.

I use dish pointer for the dish. Didn't know about sat beams. Like I said I'm new to the fta stuff.

Ok those are great tools, BUT is an approximate is not exact 100%. There are sat or TP I should not getting them according to satbeams, however I do have them. But that is not the problem of the site, that info is provided by the sat companies. If you see some footprints are ridiculous (shape)

dishpointer however is very very very good although i personally dont use it for alignment, I have my own methods.

Still waiting what sat did you get?

I am rescanning everything now, for nothing, because i am taking everything down, to install new LNB's Norsat, so huge project bow for me, everything like day one
