v8 update to v347

Hi all,
I lost the channels on intelsat 901 switched to Telstar 12 but none of the channels cleared so updated to v347 and have now lost the softcam and cannot scan for freesat channels on 11043. I cant find how to scan for channels on dvb-s2 ?
have I screwed up the update? how do I get the bbc channels back?

With any GTMedia that has (OS) software, you MUST do a BACK-UP of your CHANNEL LIST and SOFTCAM before you carry out a UPDATE.
With the BBC SAT BACK channels now moved to 15w, the FOOTPRINT is now more on UK/NORTH SEA, with two powerful signals along side this footprint.
What is your location, check out on (flysat) to see if your location is within the footprint.

Hi, thanks for the replies,
I am in NW Spain and was receiving telstar 12 ok, till I tried to update the box.

I did not do any backups, see now that was my mistake. but I cannot get the box to find any channels on Telstar 12 11043 v 44100
it finds all sorts of other stuff on that sat but no satback.

I have tried to input the biss key (what should the service id be?) still wont scan 11043 v 44100

How do I check the softcam?

With you saying that you were getting channels from 15w, can you confirm what these were.
Did you scan in the BBC channels on your V8.

Yes Den, I had the full BBC/ITV satback lineup on my v8 box.

I still have them on another receiver (zgemma H9 twin).

On scanning the bbc tp 11043 v 44100 the v8 box picks up no channels

tried a blind scan and full.
its as if the box wont scan dvb s2

When you go to the transponder search, put in the following, SCAN MODE / Normal, FTA Only / No, Scan Channel / TV, Network Search / No.

Thanks for the info, but after inputting all the data the box still would not find the channels on 11043v 44100 on Telstar
