GTMedia V8 finder

Post by maximum01 »

Any help please,
I bought a genuine V8 finder, when I turn it on, all it displays is white, orange, blue, green, black screens.
Each screen color lasts about a second and keeps cycling like that, I left it on for ten minutes.
Is there any way for me to fix it?

There is a AV output on the finder, a 3.5mm plug.
Try plugging in to a TV.
Also try the HDMi output.
It may just be the display on your unit.

There is also a AV input, try this too to test the display.

Thank you for your help.
It does work when connected to a TV.
I did a factory reset, the screen on the unit still not working.
It must be an electronic problem, so I will return the unit.

Plug a 3.5mm plug in and out of the AV connections.

This may engage the connection to the finder screen.

Hi Maximum01,i once experienced the same as you described on my old finder and I thought there was a bricked software and I did a factory reset and still the problem persisted. However I foundout the problem was on lcd screen that had been damaged and causing it to show all the displayed colors on the screen, hope this it helps

Thank you Owen,
I tried the side jack several times, when I plugged in a plug, the screen did go off.
But when I removed it, back to the same cycling colors.
So I'm in the process of returning it, it must be an internal electronic problem.
