I dont use or know IPTV and can't help. You can send a PM to Lining or Rambo and see if they can help. You can also send an e-mail directly to GTMedia/Freesat Customer Services:

I can confirm it with the freezing. The "old" Freesat V8 Super runs more stable with me than the two newer Nova Orange. In my two Nova Orange IPTV freezes regularly in about 10 - 20 minutes and then I have to restart the device because it does not respond to the Fernbedeinung. This is all very annoying because I have to use IPTV in one of my rooms. Maybe I buy an old Freesat V8 Super and intalliere an old firmware on it. Maybe I'll find a fool who buys my two Nova Orange. However, I hope that our friends here will fix the problems with the next firmware. Finally, I bought the devices from Freesat / GTMedia, as they usually try to fix the errors quickly.

Incidentally, I still point out that my IPTV list with the VLC player on smartphone (Andrid) and PC (Win10) works properly. The IPTV problem is therefore on the receivers!

Can someone please tell me how I get an old firmware on the GTMedia Nova? The receiver does not allow older firmware to be installed in the menu provided for this purpose.

Of course it is only on the recivers, I do IPTV on a Raspberry PI at full HD with Kodi and with VLC on a laptop and it works just fine. It is only on the V8 Nova that does not work.

Does anybody know what do I have to do to connect a hard drive to the V8 Nova? It does not get recognized not matter what I do.

Have the following answer:

Berlin, 14. Januar 2019

Hello luoyan,

the problem is that my m3u list is an IPTV PAY TV list.

So I pay for the IPTV. But once here have a m3u list with only free German programs.
There are only m3u8 and no TS streams included.

Best regards

I just wanted to give an update to the hard drive situation since nobody in this forum seems to know anything about it or just did not want to help me.

I finally figured out how to make the unit recognize the hard drive and it does not depend on how it is formatted, it recognizes FAT32, exFAT and NTFS just fine, it also does not depend on the brand of hard drive you use, however, the problem lies in the hard drive enclosure you use. I tried it on several enclosures until I found one that worked and it was basically the cheapest I had. (a MATSUNICHI USB 3.0) I was able to do it with a 500GB and a 1TB (which is the largest I have) and they were recognized just fine.

Attached I am sending a picture of the enclosure, it is not the best, basically whenever you put a hard drive in there it is extremely hard to open, so you better test it before closing the enclosure, but it works and that i what's important.

Hope this helps somebody.

Thank you for your feedback. That's like the USB Doungle. You can only use certain USB Doungle with MT7601 or an RT5370 chip. With the Nova receiver remains then only the annoying problem with the stuttering and or hanging IPTV insist.
