I haven't done this but the below is what others have said will work. Good Luck to you !

To do a recovery using flash.bin via USB:

1)Format USB Drive with Fat32 - (Some advise to use a USB drive of 32GB or less)

2)Place a copy of the same update that was already installed on your V8 Nova box onto your USB drive and rename it to " flash.bin ".

3)With the box turned off, plug in the USB flash drive, turn on the box and press "Menu" on the remote control. (You may need to press the menu key more than once to start loading)

4)The box should then load the software and then work normally. You may see on the TV where it shows the message "USB Update, do not turn it off", if your USB drive has an LED light you may see it blinking while the file is being loaded.

(Note - Some say they ended up using the very first update listed on the website from when the box was first released to get the box to revive and then installed the latest update.)
