I found it took about 12s to enter standby state if the version is v474~v500.
Before that(such as on v458), it takes only about 2s.
Is it really necessary to take so many time to poweroff? Can this be improve on next version?

Yes I also find the V8 Golden take that long to power off.
I wondered if the unit was trying to use the internet before it powered down, but there was no traffic on the net during shut down.

you can configure in other setting the time to power off.
i configure thar and only 2 seconds puting off with de firmware 500.
If you can't do it. tell me please and explain with Little tutorial

I tried your way on v500 firmware and it did have some change. Let's discuss a little more.
There is "power off mode" and "power on mode" in the "other setting". Both have two options as below:
power off mode: "panel show time"(default)/"Panel closed"
power on mode: "Enter Application Mode"(default)/"Enter standby mode".
Actually, no matter how "power off mode" set, the shutdown time is the same.
If power on mode set to "Enter Application Mode", it cost about 12s to shutdown.(if insert a USB disk equipted with R/W light on the front panel, the disk light will be off). This was the issue I mentioned before.
If power on mode set to "Enter standby mode", it cost about 2s to "shutdown" . I underlined here as you would find the disk light was still on if you inserted one. I believed this machine just entered "sleep" state somehow, instead of real shutdown.
What's the mean of "Application Mode" and what's the difference between "Enter Application Mode"(default)/"Enter standby mode"? Can anybody give some comments? Thanks.
Note: just before I press "send", I saw Rambo's reply. It's good to get this bug confirmed. Thanks.
