There is a guide/ tools section. You need to read around.

Alternate process:
Place a copy of the previous software on a USB stick and rename it to "flash.bin"
Power on box while repeat pressing "Menu" on the remote control.
The unit should reload the software.

Please, How does this display appear?
Is this left over code in the software or some kind of technicians tool?
Two users have had this screen come up after failed software upgrade yesterday.
Both V8 Golden and Super.
Other users have posted this screen before too.

Well I had to download adobe acrobat PDF reader and..
boy Oh boy....I haven't done anything with RS232 in a very long time.time to get out an old laptop LOL.I see the rs232 on V8super is a 3.5mm plug.I wonder if I could an old composite video cable with 3 rca connectors these have 3 bands on the 3.5mm plug for 4 wires then I could possibly wire these into an old RS232 connector.
I have to ask Why rs232?? no-one uses that anymore.

You can force the upgrade through USB, to solve this problem! Upgrade the software to the latest version
