How is supposed to put a smart card onto the V8X ?

I tried the SkyNZ card.
NO luck
The channels are listed as ND on the info bar and have CAID of 958.
The card works fine in my old Skybox F5, so the card does work outside of the providers box.

Interesting the unit reports "Card In" no matter which way up you put the card in.
It looks like it goes in chip up.
The conditional access menu / CA Information, reports nothing.

Freesat until became GTMedia no luck with trueID smart card in Thailand. don't work that mean reader card can read data in the card but it can not decrypted.

Yes, SkyNZ card 0958 is not supported.

We will release a new feature called Home Share.
It will allow user to share one card to several boxes.

But now, I am so sad that nobody shares his successfull case of smartcard in V8X.

Had plenty boxes with BISS AU, know very well about this stuff
