V8 Super ~ Setup NEW ??? - Network Sharing ~ [TV says Format Not Supported / Don't have a Menu w/Remote]

Hi

Bought a New V8 Super

[[ Live in USA ... NTSC TV - Phillips TV w/HDMI inputs ]]

Plugged - HDMI cable to TV ... When I Turn on V8 - TV says Format Not Supported
also / Don't have a Menu w/Remote on TV screen.

Trying to use V8 Super ...to view Videos on my Home Network on TV ... via Network sharing ( mpg, mp4, avi, etc )

I don't have LNB plugged in - as I don't need Free to Air channels at this time

Do I need to DO a Firmware Upgrade or Install ... ????
( without a TV Menu ... can't see what firmware is installed on unit )

If so How do you do the Firmware Install with out a Menu ....on TV for the V8 Super Unit ... ??

Some of the older TV's had earlier versions of HDMI and don't run with the newer versions of HDMI that modern STB's send.
My old Samsung does this.

If you run a AV cable (Yellow, Red, White plugs) from the V8 Super to the tv you should see the menus.

Added fast key to switch video output mode or format.
we try to support some old TV or some signal mode TV
Press menu key to main menu.(Panel show "----")
press Green key to switch NTSC/PAL, the panel will show "PAL " or "NTSC"
Press Stop key to switch the video format
PAL mode : the panel will show "576I" -- "576P" -- "720P"(50HZ) --"1080I"(50HZ) --"1080P"(50HZ)
NTSC mode : the panel will show "480I" -- "480P" -- "720P"(60HZ) --"1080I"(60HZ) --"1080P"(60HZ)

Que tal amigos ami me paso lo mismo acá en México tube que poner mis freesat en una pantalla de full hd ya puesto tuve que ponerle en formato NTS para que se viera en mi pantalla viejita porque viene en formato auto pero no reconocía mi pantalla y listo saludos.

Because your TV set is NTSC, default V8 is PAL output.
Try the information on cpr 43.
Or if you video capture to PC using AV cable
Since the menu is displayed, you can change to NTSC.
Either PAL or NTSC is OK for SONY TV. .

cp43 .. suggestion or help worked ... was able to set to 1080 i ... got Menu.

In manual gives example : \\192.168.1.1\share

[[ Is the last number ( one ) ...just an example IP address ~ or should I use my ipconfig.exe ~
address ~ 192.168.1.141 ?? ]

How do you set a path ??? And the DRIVE Path ~ I have several Drives on my computer.

Tried: \\192.168.1.141\z\FolderA\Folder22

with z as Hard Drive

Z:\allen01\Misc Vids
