GTMedia V8 Turbo not support multistream on satellite ABS2

Post by Dendi »

Hi,

I just purchase GTMedia V8 Turbo, i read on specification this box is support multistream
I saw in youtube review which is made 2 years ago, this box is support transponder 3871 H 51430 on sat ABS2 and working properly , so i decided to buy
But currently this box with current software not support anymore those transponder ( signal at TP 3871 H 5143 is blank, but others TP's signal are OK)
Suspected due to parameter change on that transponder

Can you please take a deep investigation what parameter is change and provide update software?

Your effort highly appreciate

Thanks
BR,
Dendi

I see that that TP is T2 MI format multistream.
https://www.lyngsat.com/ABS-2.html

I do see the T2 MI listed for that unit on Aliexpress sales sites.

You may need to set an option to activate the t2 mi function, I do with my GT Combo / GTX combo.

Have noticed that transponder 3871h 51430 is(DVB-S2X 16APSK) others are (DVB-S2 8PSK) this may have something to do with it.

Hi,
Transponder 3871 h 51430 is multi stream t2mi, that's why the modulation is different with other normal TP

What i am curious to known is, before this box is working properly with those multi stream TP
But now, not working, suspected due to parameters change on those TP and may be this box need update software

Thanks,

Hi Den,

I think you are right, i have a capture from lyngsat that transponder 3871 h 51430 1 years ago using mutistream DVB-S2 8PSK, but now change to DVB -S2X 16 APSK, this box not support 16 APSK

Please help to ask gt media team to upgrade sw with can support 16 APSK

Thanks
