Gtmedia V8 Finder Pro 2

Salve, lo strumento non funziona. Il display rimane spento, si illumina solamente pigiando il tasto display ma indica no sync. Il micro processore e la memoria sono alimentati. E' possibile trovare lo schema elettrico, qualcuno ha risolto un problema analogo? Grazie.

Hi, the tool doesn't work. The display remains off, it lights up only by pressing the display button but indicates no sync. The microprocessor and memory are powered. Is it possible to find the wiring diagram, has anyone solved a similar problem? Thank you.

Try a forced recovery first.
The software nay be crashed.

Grazie per la risposta. Allora non avevo sbagliato, purtroppo non ha funzionato. Avete qualche altro suggerimento? Lo schema elettrico non si può reperire?

Thanks for the reply. So I wasn't wrong, unfortunately it didn't work. Do you have any other suggestions? Can't find the wiring diagram?

Check you have it all correct, file renamed, pressing the button on power on.

Use a USB with not too many files on it, fat32.

Io ho scaricato il file "GTMedia_V8FINDER_Pro2_Release_V341_20230821.bin" e l'ho rinominato "flash.bin". Poi l'ho messo sulla chiave USB che ho inserito nel Gtmedia, ho acceso tenendo pigiato il tasto menu, ma non è successo nulla. Grazie di nuovo per l'aiuto.

I downloaded the file "GTMedia_V8FINDER_Pro2_Release_V341_20230821.bin" and renamed it "flash.bin". Then I put it on the USB key that I inserted into the Gtmedia, I turned it on while holding down the menu button, but nothing happened. Thanks again for the help.

try repeat pressing the menu button, not hold it down.

Try the other buttons like the Mute.
I have a felling there is a different button on one of these finders.

Also if you have one use a USB that has a LED that blinks when / if the stick is accessed.

The USB has an LED that blinks, but when I plug it into the Gtmedia it doesn't blink. Yet the 5 volt are on the Gtmedia female USB. Thanks again for your cooperation.

Is the USB in FAT32 format?

The flashing should happen when the software is looked for.

If the UPG doesn't work for you, I would try a programming clip that costs around €4 to put the firmware in the EEPROM.

Not necessary, the EEPROM has a mark that matches the red connection on the clip

I also tried with the name of the original software and with other keys. I also tried changing the USB pen drive, but to no avail. I'm starting to suspect it's a hardware failure. When the display turned off I felt some small discharges inside. And when I opened the Gtmedia I noticed the heatsink of the microprocessor tilted and probably touched the underlying SMDs.
