V8 TURBO can't play smoothly A F N Network at satellite NSS12

Post by Dendi »

Dear Admin,

I have problem with v8 turbo when open A F N Network at NSS12
Video often freeze for 1 sec, then continue to play, then freeze again, always like this and repeat frequently
It's annoying when you see video like this
I try to play with another rx like k5s, it's ok, no issue, video can play smoothly
Signal quality is ok, no issue

Action has done:
1.Upgrade to latest software
2. Enable time shift setting
3. Enable anti freeze setting

All done, but still problem, video still freeze frequently

Can you please help to solve this problem

Thanks,
BR

Turn time shift off again.

Try changing the settings in AV.
The output may be PAL and the input NTSC.
Try the resolution setting as well.
Try turning wifi off, set to cable net.

Is this with a CCam account or just the box doing the powervu?

Hi Owen,

All done,but problem not solved

Yes, it's only box doing auto power vu, no cccam

I think it's problem with the software, because with k5s has no problem, without setting as you mention above

Any other solution?

Thanks

I've moved my dish to NSS9@177w where there is A F N

Has not rolled yet.
Rolled 2 weeks back, but now listed as VC and PV as encryption type.
May not roll, was going to test with my V8X, same software set unit as Turbo.

Will post if I get a roll.

Owen

Rolled so will test.

I had no issue to start with.

Then I moved the dish a bit off satellite alignment and dropped the signal quality down to 57 and blink down to 42.

Then I did get minor stops in video with my V8X.

Your issue may be the Turbo is not getting a good enough signal and is crashing with error corrections.
Your other box may have a bit better receiver, or better memory use control with large error corrections.
My GT Combo on the same dish had no issue and the receiver in the GT combo is weaker than others I have here, like my V8UHD.

Try and get a little bit more signal from your dish with alignment adjustments if you can.

Hi Owen,

Thanks for your explanation
Actually i already increase signal, before sq is 52 % (with this sq other rx no issue), now sq increase to 60 % ( with v8 turbo still problem, video still freeze frequently)
Unfortunately, this sq already maximum i can get

On your v8x,how many percent signal should be achieve to solve this problem?
So, this issue is due to v8 turbo has low memory?

Thanks,

What size dish are you using, have you checked the skew of the lnb, that alone may increase your signal.
Some receivers have better sensitive tuners, that lock onto weak signals better.
it is not due to the memory.

Hi
With the 3m dish I used and the V8X 60% up seemed to be clear.

As for memory, I think the issue with low signal is that GT Media units often use TOO much memory and over write memory used for other things while trying to correct transmission errors.

As STRETCH said, try adjusting the skew of the LNB and the in out position of the LNB, closer or further away to the dish in the holder. A few mm can make a difference.

Hi

Can you please set your dish signal into 55%-60%, and see what happen, are you have same problem with me or not?
Please use v8x box

If the receiver receiving low signal, video should be not good just like broken vcd cassete

But here video is normal no scratch, only freeze for 1 sec and repeat frequently

Thanks

Hi,

I used 7 feet dish
For your information, nss12 uses L/R polarization, so
I used a plastic bar inside my lnb to change polarization from L/R to V/H and increase receiving signal

The problem coming due to this polarization change?

With the dielectric plate in the LNB, try rotating that to another position and check both V and H signals for improvement.
Record where you had the dielectric plate so you can go back.

Are you using a plastic plate? or the Dielectric plate supplied with the LNB? They are different material
