There is a button "b light" that switches the screen on and off.
Also there is the AV input. This allows for a 3.5mm AV cable to be plugged in and use the finder screen as a monitor for other things. This input disconnects the feed from the finder when a plug is in. Plug and unplug a 3.5mm cable into this input to check that it is not stuck like it has a cable in it.
