Older versions of HDMI are not supported by Freesat units. This may be what is causing your color issues.
Try using a AV cable instead.

Hi Owen

D'you mean the HDMI cable or the HDMI adapter with the Philips TV?

The cable that I use is actually a good quality and was relatively expensive.
Would 4 years be considered as an older version or for an 1.4a HDMI cable?

Yes, I tried with the SCART cable and no problem obviously with that,
but as you know, the video quality falls drastically then ;)

The issue with HDMI is that older TV's have the older format of HDMI, version 1.0 etc.
The Freesat units do not have this older format so can not talk with old TV's like my very old Samsung.

To test this try it on another newer TV.
