I have a V8 super with the latest firmware. HDMI feeding a Denon AVR-300. The problem is no sound on Dolby channels while the V8 is in bitstream.
I know the V8 is outputting AC3 because I have tried it two other non Denon receivers and get Dolby sound. I know the Denon works because I get Dolby with a freesat V7 receiver. It seems there is some incompatibility between the V8 and Denon. Anyone else have this problem?

Did you try the audio button on the remote to try other settings.ead wrote:I have a V8 super with the latest firmware. HDMI feeding a Denon AVR-300. The problem is no sound on Dolby channels while the V8 is in bitstream.

Yep tried audio button. As long as it is an AC3 channel no audio.

The Freesat units do not support older versions of HDMI.
Old Samsungs that were the first to come out with HDMI do not work.
This could be your problem.
Try connecting to the TV via AV cable.

I have sound over the HDMI just not AC3 (dolby). It is silent on AC3 channels and normal sound on non AC3 channels.Feralkiwi wrote:The Freesat units do not support older versions of HDMI.
