Anyone news on Sport 24?
It is now over a month since MTN has stopped working. I never heard a news working on any other STBs. Anyone here in this forum news or progresses from the developers, please?
GTMedia V8 X, GTMedia V8 pro2, 1.8m x 3 dish, .9m x 3 dish, Freesat V7 Max, GTMedia BT03 Finder, Freesat V8 Finder, GSKY V6, Supermax SM9900, Lifestar 9090, LEG A25, covers 3w to 105.5e satellites.

In the past times when sport24 has gone off, other set top boxes makers have found a solution and posted new software updates.
Users here have then posted, noting these other STB having sport24 back on.
There have been no such posts this time.
I think MTN PayTV has won the war.
Good on them, they have protected their business, selling PayTV.

It may or may not interest you to know that PowerVuEmu 2.91 that was developed several months ago is what is currently in use for Sports 24 HD MTN Worldwide packages. However, this works only on DVB Cards.
The distant future is bleak for decoders opening sports24 HD unofficially. Information reaching me from a reliable but unconfirmed source states that they might be changing their encryption to VideoGuard pretty soon. It is something for us to look out for if they decide to change there encryption. This will be done if decoders managed to get a working PowerVu auto-roll software.
Just have it in mind that as long as the emulator used for the exploit continues to work, STBs manufacturers will stop at nothing to revive their devices. However, on the more difficult side, a new Emulator may be required before receivers can make a headway. Now it all boils down to the exploits developers’s willingness to develop another exploit.
