Yes that is the editor for the V8 and V7 boxes.
The V8 GTC is different.
When you open your file you need to change the file type to .bin to see your user data file and then tell the editor if you have a V7 or V8 file.
Note: the files from the V8 Finder are "V7" type files.

Re: Program to edit channels
unfortunetly the db editor is just bad, u cant rly sort channels with it cause it has broken numeration, so basically u have to manually sort through thousands of channels to find the one u want, and then move it to the position u want, but thats just too tedious work, setedit is the solution, but its not perfect as well, since u have to pay like 20 euro/usd to be able to edit more than 20 channels at a time, or do other useful stuff but its much better than db editor, even if u just use the free trial version with 20 edits limit

For the V8 super golden and Nova and the V7 units use the DB Editor from the tools page.red devil wrote:What do you mean?4ndr3 wrote:2018-08-31_145834.jpg

Re: Program to edit channels
I tried to use DB Editor software for files from my GTmedia V8 NOVA with newest firmware.
But nothing is shown in the editor!?
Do I need other configurationfiles for this software to fit V8 NOVA ?
Has anyone the same problem with the newest firmware (17.08.2018)?
Or is there another software to edit the channels?

The V8 Finder as above works fine in the editor.
The issue is that user data files "v8nova_db_sysdata.bin" from 20180719 and 20180625 and later will not load into the Editor.
Files from software 20180621 will load into the Editor.
A work around is to save your user data, downgrade to 20180621, reload your user data and then save it.
You can rename your file as you save it by clicking on the file name offered "v8nova_db_sysdata.bin" and changing it.
This file will then load into the Editor.
Thanks to user "letsrock" for alerting us to this.
