TP Couldn't be scanned on Intelsat710 68.5e
Anyone please help!! I could not figure it out why I could not be able to scan Discovery Channels on Intelsat 20 68.5e. On this same satellite, I can scan all the channels except Discovery Channels on TP 3740H30000 where I have no signal and/or the signal is not stable. Could you please help me to solve this situation? Regards, V8 User
GTMedia V8 X, GTMedia V8 pro2, 1.8m x 3 dish, .9m x 3 dish, Freesat V7 Max, GTMedia BT03 Finder, Freesat V8 Finder, GSKY V6, Supermax SM9900, Lifestar 9090, LEG A25, covers 3w to 105.5e satellites.

one question, do you have keys for 58w c band???

These higher SR (30000) TP's need a very good signal to work.Zelalem wrote:Anyone please help!! I could not figure it out why I could not be able to scan Discovery Channels on Intelsat 20 68.5e. Check that your dish is at its best tuning.

is there a way to boost the signal quality that you can advise me to do? I have tried to tune as best as possible, but couldn't exceed the 65% mark. I may need to boost the quality 70% plus.Feralkiwi wrote:These higher SR (30000) TP's need a very good signal to work.Zelalem wrote:Anyone please help!! Sometimes this is just the limitations of your dish size.
LNB skew, the rotation setting for the LNB, can effect the signal.
If you are not real good at this you can make things worse.
I mark my LNB's with a pen so I can return them to where I started.
A circle around to mark depth and a line for skew.
Even just 1mm of rotation of the LNB (c Band) as measured on the scaler ring can make a difference.
Also if the LNB is not pointed directly at the center of the dish.
I have also had LNB loose their good signal. Replacing them has often made a difference for me.
I think the earth current pulse from the electric fence destroy my LNB's.
Again be careful that you can get back to where you were.
If you do not have a sat finder, the tone type, turn the sound up on you TV and tune for the middle of where you get the best pic / sound. Don't move too far at a time as you can get lost very quickly.
