It will not find Biss, Nagra or Tandberg on it's own. :(

Hi

I've got version .303 software in my V7 Combo. FREESAT_V7COMBO_20160728
With this I see Tandburg in the Conditional access menu.

Here is the Update log from that version.
"20160728
-Freesat_v7_hd.bin
Please backup your channel list then update box by allcode mode.
if you box don't find this firmware from usb stick. Please update the box to FREESAT_V7COMO_20160606 the first.
1) update softcam core for Tanberg / Director
now generated some data in firmware for Vinasat 1 at 132.0°E....
if you found Tanberg / Director channel don't be opened please find the key and import it by softcam.key.

2) add the disable usb device pop message
main menu / system / other / Device PoP message :
On ---> the usb storage /wifi message will be shew when you insert or plug out
off ---> the usb storage /wifi message will not be shew when you insert or plug out
3) update softcam core for DRECrypt system

If you are using an earlier version you will need to update to get Tandburg.

The Powervu Channels on 4000-H-28120-V at 58.0°W are not opening on the V7HD and V8 Super. Can the keys be posted?

As yet the Freesat units only fine Tandberg and PowerVu.

Dear Admin,

which is correct format to create softcam.key?

softcam.key

or

SoftCam.Key

or

SoftCam.key

Does uppercase and lowercase sensitive..?

TQ.

It is not case sensitive. Any time you edit the file you need to SAVE AS and overwrite over the file. If not the computer will create a TXT file which will not work. Here is an empty one for you. It is compressed. You will need to Unrar and get the file inside. Add all the data you may have and make sure you SAVE AS over it.

I have a problem with Biss keys. I imported a softcam file, I see no keys listed on biss menu, only in mgcamd biss menu.
When I manually add a Biss key it works, but if I go back to the biss key insertion menu there aren't any keys anymore and channel won't open anymore. Reboot also loses Biss key.

Anyone else has this problem? Maybe the softcam.key I imported screw up manual insertion of biss ?

update: imported new softcam.key from here:viewtopic.php?f=32&t=446&sid=6f7b96ffba ... 73fe654751
and everything is working fine.
So softcam.key files that work on PC may have weird behavior on V7, if not properly adapted.

I found that the V7HD would not use a typed in PowerVu code but the same code worked if loaded via USB softcam.key file.
Are you pressing "exit" and then clicking "Yes" as you leave the BISS entry menu?

Hello, freesat is the number 1 receiver in African, East and west which has been doing justices to powervu. We recently got your update on xcrypt keys on 113e, which is behind our horizon.
We want to make a special requests for you to help us with the following ;
Eutelsat 9b. We can get that sat with 80cm dish and they host some channels, named "sisal". Among the sisal, Skysports 1&2 is amongst them and are encrypted with xcrypt.
Also Eutelsat 7e, Africa beam. We have this CBST 1-7 encrypted with xcrypt as well. It host bein sports, husler hd and other sports channels and we can get it with 80cm dish aa well.
Currently i have more than 500 pieces of freesat in stock and there are many decoders running on auto roll.
Please just assist us with sales and provide update on freesat v7 max and freesat, small box for xcrypt channels and see as sales will role in.

I think it was an improperly formatted softcam.key that triggered this. I wouldn't call it a bug if we're entering the data incorrectly.
And it didn't need a reboot, if I re-entered the BISS menu it would delete the keys.

Hi all

Today I have been testing powervu problems.
I find that with channels where the code changes often, the V8 Golden stopped finding the powervu code when there were more than 8 or 9 code lines in the softcam.key file as listed via the conditional access menu.
The line count over 8 is counting both Key idx "00" and idx "01" code lines for the same TP info.
I deleted 4 out of 9 code lines listed and the V8 Golden then went and found the new code.

The channels that change codes for me are MTN off NSS9 @ 177W and A F N off Intelsat 18C @ 180E.

Has anyone else found this?

I assume that the Freesat units check the codes in the list, trying all the idx "00" against all the idx "01" codes.
The two halves of the code are not tied together, as you need only add the new half to your list when changes happen.
This was demonstrated with the code chnages for Intelsat 19 @ 166e listed by "bigcar" on the Wed Sep 14, 2016, where only the idx "01" were given, as there were no changes to idx "00".

This could be the problem for a lot of users that find their units will not find the codes.
When you "Export" your softcam.key file and then "import" it again, the codes that are in the #*# Auto ECM Key #*# part of the list are added to the main list. I found I had many doubles of codes from this.

As users export and import their codes after each software update, they may have so many double ups of code that they have more than 8 codes for a channel and their units stop finding new codes.

Could others of you test this?

Owen

Freesat V7 does not have autoroll, so you will always to insert keys in your softcam.key.

Good question!!!
I hope your answer does not come in the form of a lawyer's letter.
I live in the country where they broke many laws to "Attack" Kim Dotcom for what other people did on his Mega Uploads site.

ist it legal? No from Argentina to China from London to the USA
The only difference some countries they do not have laws other they do not enforce them. And some with the help of BIG lawyers enforce them until the last dot.

sAlong you do not use an internet sharing key (IKS) that can trace back to you, or a neighbor that hates you. You are safe and sound  well i think so
