Problems with recent updates for Combo and GTX (11/23)

In the latest updates released via OTA and here on the forum, this November, both the GTX and the Combo are showing a serious failure in the DVB application! It stops working and gets the following message on the screen: TV Service Keeps Stopping!! The receiver is unable to operate satellite channels!! Even resetting doesn't solve it! I already did this and the problem reoccurs! Has the same happened with your Combo and GTX? Here we have no solution to this problem for both of our models!

I'm here with both Combo and GTX models, without the DVB application working after this update. I can't watch any satellite channels! Resetting doesn't solve it! I've already tried!

Another issue with this update, at 30w 12548v 29600 Paramount channel, i get a Double screen.

At the end of the blindscan the receiver tries to make the motor move, after which the search starts again and the channels are stored again.

Here the DVB application stopped working. No satellite channels work. Not even C band, well Ku band. The DVB type application stopped working overall here.

So far this has been the worst update they have released for the GTX and Combo. All just to favor the LACAM service and end up making a serious mistake like this!

I installed the new firmware Software version: C20.A9.1.26, and I must say that several reported problems have been resolved.

Weather App works.
DVB App greatly improved its stability and performance.
Iks works perfectly with the 61w and 70w in SD and HD.
Time Shift with local storage and PVR with external storage work.
APP DVB no longer restarts when going through the GTShare option.
Sound improvement in SD and HD channels (previously they sounded very low).

The only problem that I have detected that is not serious, but would be good to improve, is the performance of the new EPG and the new channel list, the GTCombo gets slow when using it and changing channels.

An improvement would be that when selecting audio output in SPDIF/RAW it allows you to select the AC3 audio codec. Several channels with that codec remain silent (this when using the SPDIF/RAW output to a 5.1 audio system).

Recommendation: Do not update via OTA, install the update via USB, once installed, you must apply a factory reset from the configuration menu and only then start using it.

Double screen was the option for noise reduction in DVB settings.
If set to off, double screens.

Hi my receiver is BOX GTMEDIA GTCOMBO. My receiver automatically updated successfully with the latest version GTCOMBO-C20.A9.1.26-202311080152-1699379522. After restarting the receiver, the DVB app crashes and says TVService keeps stopping. All satellites and channels have been deleted and the DVB app does not work. I tried the solution with empty the file,

and the TV Service Keeps Stopping message disappeared, but OSCAM does not work with an empty oscam.server file. Can it be fixed?

anythink you will put in oscam.server will make the tvservice app to crash because it's trying to parse the configuration finding bad values...not really bad... just not expected values.

For the GTMedia team...please note that CAID is hexadecimal and not Integer so can have letters and numbers

It shows a very ordinary way of thinking on the part of the GTmedia company, that they do not report back on their issues related to the buggy update, and even now the update window pops up all the time, instead of stopping the OTA update to avoid further damage.
A long time ago, we also requested that users disable the OTA update!

I reset the receiver to factory setting, but again any information in the oscam.server file causes the DVB app to crash and inability to watch channels and the use of OSCAM - and says TVService keeps stopping. I tried to install the latest version GTCOMBO-C20.A9.1.26-20231108 off line via USB by deleting everything during the installation and again after filling in information in the file oscam.server again causes the DVB app to crash and the inability to watch channels and the use of OSCAM -and says TVService keeps stopping. I am very disappointed. What is this receiver - decoder even for? Is there a solution to the problem or does the receiver go to waste and forget about you.

I have since did a factory reset of the box and of course lost all info , however as I am loading all my info ( Sats , Scans ) the unit is now functioning properly once again with SW Ver C20.A9.1.26 . A pain but at least its back working again !
