Can you record a video to see what happens? Are you using a USB flash drive or mobile hard drive? Can you try changing a device?

can't record anything. When I hit the record button the device keeps sound but the screen goes blank. Cant't do anything with the device until I unplug it. There is nothing on the hard drive. I have tried a flash drive and a external hard drive. Thanks, Stephen

Record works for me but is flaky. Timeshift is completely un-usable on any firmware including most recent. It totally malfunctions and will not pause, or rewind properly.
