GTC USA ATSC SCAN,Anyone Tested ?

Got my GTC coming.They finally Shipped Today.Here in 5-10 Days.
Just wondering if ANYONE has tried US ATSC reception/scanning?
Would love to hear from anyone about their experience/results.
Any info/comments appreciated!

I ordered my connector conversion. Should receive in this week. Will test and let you know

Waiting on mine to come,prob Monday or so.
Hey, you could just use bare cable,skin back sheild,strip center conductor,slid center wire in center of connector & just make sure braid or foil is touching outside of box connector.
i have the adaptors,but would doit like that if i didn't.
Not goona hurt anything,NOT like a Sat connection,etc.

I tried. Went to the ATSC area. I tried to select the region AREA the box hang up and exit to main menu. Try autoscan or manual and the box also hang up. Or a message pop up with the dvb stopping. So we need further instructions as to how to do the scan in this sections.

How to scan if the box reset or hang when you select AREA to set your area? Are frequencies set in box so it can scan thru?? Pls advice

OK,found this info that i THINK BEST DESCRIBES It.....

A QAM tuner is linked to the cable in a manner that is equivalent to an ATSC tuner which is required to receive over-the-air (OTA) digital channels broadcast by local television stations when attached to an antenna. Most new HDTV digital televisions support both of these standards. QAM uses the same 6 MHz bandwidth as ATSC, using a standard known as ITU-T Recommendation J.83 Annex B ("J.83b")

So this is Qam Cable FTA CompaTIBILITY?
