SAT IP / DLNA does not work

Post by yeyoyeyo »

Hello,

I was trying to stream the sat channel trough the VLC (Sat2ip) and BubbleUpnp (DLNA) Android Apps but it doesn't work. My smartphone finds the server created by the GTMedia but I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or is just the firmware I have (.300). The point is that I cannot stream any channel.

Anybody knows how to stream GTMedia V9 Super video on any mobile app? Is there any useful tutorial?

Thanks in advance.
Regards.

There were some good discussions early on on this forum.

Here is one here.

Search "sat2ip" and look at the oldest posts by SatEze.

Let me explain you a little better because is not that easy as it seems. Still looking into that

V8 Super
You connect the decoder via WiFI or Ethernet as usual, you test that is working using youtube as example or if you have a dirty mind will use youporn
OK. It work I can stream
We can rename the STB to yeyoyeyo-STB if we want
Then we activate SAT2IP to on
Then we do whatever but not power off the decoder dughh...
So The decoder now is a server streaming
To get that we can use VLC
Install it on MAC, android or Windows
We Go to LOCAL networks (be suer your device to replay is in THE SAME network the decoder is)
The Universal Plug 'n Play devices upnp and you will see yeyoyeyo-STB
clcik on there ans appear satellite channels and will list all your favorite channels or up to 128 is no FAV are selected
Click on any channels and enjoy! It that easy!!

However V9 Super is not
More or less the steps are the same
But on V9 Super the streaming is no longer on the format oh HTTP streaming but a RTP or RTPS format :?: :?: :?: :?:
I know I driving you nuts guys!! I know I am sorry

So the V* super stream as an URL like "http://192.168.1.225:81/2264_0_1283_265 ... 1_101_2.ts" fake link

Where 192.168.1.225 is the IP that the router assigned to the STB V8 Super
81 is te port open for streaming on your outer
and after that is the link created but the STB as SATIP server to get that that channel and in ts format

On V9Super
the http is replaced by rtps://etc etc
BUT the mAIN issue here that RTP AND RTPS uses port 554 on your router and that MUST BE opened
This is the same for people that have IP cameras and want to stream outside their houses.

So we need to open that port entering on the routers and assign that port to the STB does matter is doe snot go "outside" the world

I will give instruction on that you may call your ISP tech support or google it due so many routers and devices and each one has different steps and some can not be opened

So the STB now will be completely opened bi-directional on port 554 behind the NAT

So we GO back to say VLC as player
and we can see again yeyoyeyo-STB ... :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

WRONG it shows somethin gelse like air(0,0.0)
and rpt errors becuase the server STB (V9 Super) script (software is worng) Programmer was drunk that night and forgot something

and the URL comes wrong that is WHY yeyoyeyo is not working

1) The Server (I call server because the V9/8 Super becomes a server when you turn SATIP Function) is no longer streaming the way you name it (if you change the name) or the the default (Freesat V9 Super )
It shows AliServer(192.168.1.210) that is my intranet IP assigned by my router and I dont care if the name is different along I can Stream right?

click on that and shows ALL the channels

2) Like I said is ALI's fault

these are the errors messages
A) VLC couldn't connect to "sat.ip:554"

check on that sat.ip (i explained the port already) sat.ip it does not say 192.168.1.210

that will screwed up all... guaranteed!

B) VLC is trying to open all channels

could not connect to: sat.ip/?src=1&freq=11973&pol=v&ro=0.35&msys=dvbs&mtype=qpsk&plts=off&sr=27500&fec=34&pids=0,17,18,420,4101,4102,8190

that is one of the channels
a

as you can see there is NO IP address and that is the reason is not working

I have a difficult 2 weeks ahead of me traveling, helping my kids at University and my wife with her business. I have no time for this

BUT
This issue is either
A coding on the V9 super that is not complete done (the Ali part tells me that) where a call function in the script is not being called, and the IP address is not being polutated

Or a settings on VLC that I missed

So far is not working for me either

Wow!! What a explanation. Thank you very much for these details.
I was reading several pages related with the rtps issue, and as you said, I opened port 554 just like you. Unfortunatelly I have the same error codes for every channel:
A) VLC couldn't connect to "sat.ip:554"
B) Couldn't open rtsp://sat.ip/?src=1&freq=12633.25&pol=h&ro=0.35&msys=dvbs&mtype=qpsk&plts=off&sr=22000&fec=56&pids=0,17,18,163,363

Another fact I realised is that I always see the same channles on the VLC, no matter what my favourites are.

Hope someone from GTMEDIA could find a solution, it's really anoying as one of the things I decided to buy this product was the capability to perform SAT2IP streaming.

Thanks again @Marsat

If I remember the channels that show on Sat2IP are the first ones on the "All" channel list.
Move the channels you need there if this is the list you see on VLC.

I also think that you can change channel at the box using the remote too.
This may let you change list.

the solution as a programmer is VERY simple

they missed something (plain simple so you guys understand)

if decoder_IP=1; (1 as ON or connected to internet)
replace sat.ip =I P; variable sat.ip is assigned the IP value of the decoder that the router assigned (or manually assigned if static)

simple like that

but sat.ip is not been populated, IF they fix that we will be able to stream on 554, or will find more error after that who knows

Thanks a lot Feralkiwi. I'll try this.
Could you transmit what @Marsat has pointed out to your team (I'm guessing you have contact with GTMEDIA developer team) in order to be reviewed?

seems the support of this decoder is abandoned. there are more important issues on this decoder that have not been fixed

We need to get together file a class action lawsuit. They know a individual is not going to return the box when it costs more to send back than what u paid for it.

Sorry to say ,but a lawsuit against a Chinese manufacturer making boxes to get encrypted sat signals?
Good luck!

best is probably to try and persuade them into fixing it so as to save their reputation and thus sell more receivers

I am not disagreeing with you i just don't think the threat of a lawsuit will get traction.

  I know it would be almost impossible, that would be like bank robbers filling a class action suit against the police for arresting them, but it would get their attention. I just hate to rollover and play dead especially when they will not even try to correct problems other than scrambled channels.

Hello friend machteck, totally agree with you. They are problems that come from old and if they solve one in the next version it reappears. But both in this model and in the others. In the end I changed the box because I was tired of always seeing the same program even if I changed the channel in the OSD information the program was always called "Not content" and the next program started and ended at the same time as the one they were putting :ugeek: :ugeek: :ugeek:
