Some broadcasters send both 16:9 and old material in 4:3.
Aspect Ratio is set to auto, but the HDMI signal does not automatically switch to 4:3!
You have to manually force the TV set to use 4:3.

Is firmware V302 really the latest firmware for the X8??
It is dated 14th of December 2021 (!!).

You can convert it to a V8X with a firmware, so you can use any firmware that corresponds to the V8X
