Hi, I just got my V8 Finder Pro 2 and noticed that the device is picking some interference by looking at the spectrum without connecting to an LNB. Is this normal or the device is defective?
I also ran the spectrum analyzer in a state park without any electronic devices nearby but still got the same pattern.
Defective V8 Finder Pro?

Re: Defective V8 Finder Pro?
Connected to a Directv dual band Ku LNB and the interference went worse.

It's normal, we are surrounded by electromagnetic signalscaramel wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 4:06 amHi, I just got my V8 Finder Pro 2 and noticed that the device is picking some interference by looking at the spectrum without connecting to an LNB. Is this normal or the device is defective?

Now you have signal that always has noise, C/N tells you how separated it is
You must ensure that the signal is between 47 y 77 dBuV After checking that the MER is as high as possible, which will be what gives us the quality.
Check these parameters that I have told you and you will have aligned the signal well, If you do not get good results you should check the components, cable, F connector, antenna socket, etc.
