Help V7HD, Does not start

Post by toluen »

I have a problem with a Freesat V7 HD, when installing an old firmware and the file freesat_v7HD_db_ssdata I had saved, now it is not loaded, starts with the logo and remains hung and can not be turned off with the remote, it does not respond anything.
The display shows Load
It can be considered dead or has salvation.

Thank you

USB Flash method

place a copy of the software on a USB stick and rename it "flash.bin"
Power on the unit while repeat pressing the "Menu" button on the remote.
The unit should reload the software and then you can try again with you data file.

If this fails there is the RS232 method, which is difficult with a V7HD.

Solved
I misunderstood when renaming the file, naming it including in the .bin name.
You can solve it just by putting the name flash, with extension, bin.

Very grateful for the help.

A greeting
