Re: Don't Buy V8 angel
hello.
i agree, angel box seems to be a pile of wasted money for me as well.
im using only terrestial part of it and my cons are:
1: while switching between channels, it is really slow, often have to wait more then 15 seconds
2: it crashes while changing channels more than twice per night
3: while it crashes or loosing even wifi connection for couple of seconds, have to reconfigure card sharing
so, it became a pain in my back. no firmware updates since august, etc.
another 2 boxes i have are V8 pro combo's, those still working with more or less issues, but acceptable.
better not to buy V8 angel.

Re: Don't Buy V8 angel
sorry, i forgot few more issues:
if there is no connection with card server it does not inform you about encrypted channel or network issues.
and this is not all yet!
even if there is (conax)card inserted to the box itself and changing channels too fast per minute it will show you
dark blank (or frozen previous) screen, instead of noticing you there something wrong (encrypted channel, etc) so you have to climb in darkness

Re: Don't Buy V8 angel
and, ok, while im here, have to make third post, sorry for trashing our forum here
angel has a strange bluetooth issue: while bluetooth output devices (speakers, headphones etc.) are nicely paired and playing sound, they will disconnect and reconnect at every RF signal loss or card decryption delay ( most of BT sound devices are producing annoing pairing noises).

on terrestial, it waste much time to switch between channels, this problem we never meet before, can you describe in detail?
Re: Don't Buy V8 angel
Is Annex B provider's signal a J.83(A&C) signal?Newtman wrote:Some problem here!

Re: Don't Buy V8 angel
It seems that Annex B provider's signal is a DVBC j.83B signal, and angel box only support DVBC j.83A&C signal now.Newtman wrote:Some problem here!

Re: Don't Buy V8 angel
I feel like scammed because I purchased it only for j.83B and after I received it, they said isn't j.83B compatible anymore.
BTW, with annex a/c doesn't work too.

Sorry ,we don't say more detail ,only said support DVB-C. we will change the spec.
You can return the box to the seller.
